Concours d’Elegance to Benefit Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum St. Michaels, MD, April 10, 2010 - The Fourth Annual St. Michaels Concours d’Elegance will take place Sunday, September 26, 2010 on the 18-acre waterfront campus of the Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum in historic St. Michaels, Maryland. All proceeds from this year’s event will benefit the Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum. Founded in 1965, the Museum is dedicated to preserving the rich heritage and maritime history of the Western Hemisphere’s largest estuary, the Chesapeake Bay and its tidal reaches. “We are proud to be a partner with the St. Michaels Concours d’Elegance and we are honored to be the beneficiary,” said Langley R. Shook, President of the Museum. Rolls-Royce Motor Cars will be the presenting sponsor once again this year. “The event will feature grand class automobiles from the golden age of motoring, 1900-1942. These rare cars will be paired with fashion, vintage motor boats from the same era, vintage carriages, art, and most of all enjoyment!” said George M. Walish, Jr., Chairman and Founder of the event. Please plan to spend a day of casual elegance on Maryland’s Eastern Shore among the fabulous automobile marques such as Bugatti, Dusenberg, Packard, and Rolls-Royce, all to benefit the Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum. Tickets will go on sale June 1, 2010. Prices are $35.00 for general admission, and $100.00 for a V.I.P. ticket that includes a buffet lunch at the Inn at Perry Cabin, located adjacent to the Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum. Discounted tickets can be purchased in advance online at www.smcde.org. For more information, you can visit the website or call the Museum at 410-745-2916.
